I specialise in treating eye diseases affecting the front half of the eye, providing advanced medical treatments for dry eyes, conjunctivitis, corneal inflammation and infections, recurrent erosions.
I specialise in surgical treatments for cataract including advanced and complex cataract surgery and implantation of premium lenses including toric, trifocal and multifocal lenses.
I am experienced in refractive lens exchange, implantable contact lens, corneal transplants (penetrating keratoplasty, DALK, DSAEK) stem cell and amniotic membrane grafts, pterygium surgery and collagen crosslinking for keratoconus and ectatic diseases.
I have a special interest in emergency eye care and have been the lead for eye casualty in QMC for the last seven years.
I have published over 70 publications in peer reviewed journals in the fields of cataract, cornea and ocular surface and supervised many local and international PhD students. I have organised and been involved in teaching and training young ophthalmologists from all over the world in the Royal College of Ophthalmologist cornea course and surgical skills courses as well as multiple training courses and wet labs in the UK and internationally.
