Professor Robert Scott has returned to the UK from his post as Medical Director of Moorfields Eye Hospital in Dubai. His clinical interests are in cataract surgery, retinal surgery and ocular trauma. He qualified from St Thomas’ Hospital in London in 1987 and specialised in ophthalmology at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham and Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. He was a RAF ophthalmologist for 26 years. He was honoured as a Times newspaper top UK surgeon in 2011 and awarded the Lady Cade Medal for research by the Royal College of Surgeons in 2014. He continues his research into blinding eye conditions and work for for blind veteran charities .
