Dr Rajeeva Singh is an experienced Consultant Paediatrician with specialist expertise in paediatric neurology, epilepsy, developmental paediatrics, neurodisability and general paediatrics. He has been a Consultant Paediatrician at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Teaching Trust since 2004 and is the Lead for Paediatric Epilepsy at Dewsbury Hospital.
Dr Singh sees infants, children and young people with a wide range of paediatric concerns, including seizures, faints and funny turns, developmental delay, neuromuscular conditions, growth concerns, bowel problems, respiratory symptoms, infective illnesses and general childhood health issues.
He is particularly recognised for his work in paediatric epilepsy and childhood neurological conditions, combining many years of NHS consultant experience with a strong commitment to teaching, training and clinical leadership.

Clinical background
Dr Singh graduated in medicine in India in 1989, where he was awarded the University Gold Medal in Medicine. He went on to complete his MD in Paediatrics and qualified as a Diplomate of the National Board in Paediatrics.
After moving to the UK, Dr Singh completed his specialist registrar training at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, working across general paediatrics and paediatric neurology. He was awarded membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and is now a Fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
Since taking up his consultant post in 2004 at Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Teaching Trust, Dr Singh has developed specialist clinics in general paediatrics, epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders and neurodevelopmental conditions.
Leadership, teaching and national roles
Dr Singh has a longstanding interest in medical education and paediatric training. He established the annual Yorkshire Neurology Network Study Day in 2007, which continues to support education and shared learning across the region.
He is also the Yorkshire Paediatric Epilepsy Training Coordinator and serves as a Course Director and Tutor for Paediatric Epilepsy Training Level 1, delivered at Dewsbury Hospital under the remit of the British Paediatric Neurology Association.
Dr Singh has held senior roles with the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, including serving as Regional Advisor / Royal College Officer for North East England and as an RCPCH Council Member from 2015 to 2020. He is also a Senior Examiner for the RCPCH, reflecting his continued contribution to paediatric training and professional standards.
