Holding the post of Consultant Orthopaedic and Foot and Ankle Surgeon at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport I also offer private treatment for foot and ankle conditions. A leading foot and ankle specialist my expertise lies in the treatment of foot and ankle conditions, including bunions and other deformity corrections, sports injuries and metabolic disorders of the foot such as rheumatoid arthritis and diabetes. I have 20 years' experience as an NHS consultant, recently establishing the state-of-the-art Foot and Ankle Centre at the new Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr Hospital in Caerphilly in collaboration with colleagues. Highly skilled in complex foot and ankle problems, I enjoy a large tertiary referral practice both in his NHS and private practice and offer second opinions to patients with failed foot and ankle surgery.
In private practice, I see patients from across the UK and abroad and am actively involved in the treatment of professional and elite athletes. I am the honorary foot and ankle surgeon to a number of Welsh sports teams and am also experienced in the treatment of foot and ankle problems associated with dance and other performing arts. In addition, I am actively involved in the treatment of injuries in elite racket sport and track and field athletes.
