I have graduated from Manchester University in 1996. I had trained on the North West Rotation as an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. I have been fellowhip trained in the above field with Dr Simon Bell in Melbourne, Australia. I have been a consultant for over 9 years. Previously at Manchester Royal Infirmary, before moving to Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport in 2015. I have been a keen educator and worked as an Associate Hospital Dean at Manchester Royal Infirmary. I am an active member in the North West training and have lead the shoulder and elbow teaching module for 4 years. I am a Simulation lead for the region. After a year and a half as a Clinical Director in the department of Orthopaedics, I have recently been appointed as the Associate Medical Director at Stepping Hill Hospital. I am married and have a young son and a Labrador. Although I love my job, I spend all my spare time with my family. I enjoy watching Rugby and cricket, as I feel my playing days are long gone.
