I attended and qualified from King's College Hospital in London in 1993 and proceeded into professional house jobs in Medicine and Surgery. I also worked within casualty as a SHO at King's College Hospital and was a demonstrator at Guy's Hospital in London in Anatomy. In 1997, I obtained my Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons after I had carried out my basic training in surgery on the Canterbury rotation in Kent. I proceeded his higher surgical training on the South East Thames rotation in trauma and orthopaedics to obtain my FRCS in trauma and orthopaedics in 2002. I undertook sub-specialist Fellowship training which I carried out in Ireland and Australia to increase my expertise. Whilst in Australia, I was based at the Sportsmed Institute of Arthroplasty and Sports Medicine where my fellowship included numerous procedures for hips and knees with the use of minimally invasive surgery and computer navigated surgery. A significant element of the Fellowship included arthroscopy techniques of the hip, knee, and ankle which also included ACL reconstruction (Anterior Cruciate Ligament reconstruction) and cartilage transplant surgery. In Dublin I was able to gain experience in adult and paediatric foot and ankle surgery which included arthroplasty, arthroscopy as well surgery for forefoot and hindfoot.
I am in the top 10 for high volume knee replacement surgery in the UK.
