Dr Akeel Alisa qualified from Cambridge University (Girton College) and completed his junior medical training at King’s College Hospital, London. He concluded his higher postgraduate training and research in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and General medicine in leading London teaching hospitals. He was then appointed as a Gonsultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with an interest in Advanced Endoscopy. He is the Endoscopy training lead. He performs basic and advanced upper Gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy and lower GI Flexible Sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy. He has completed the European Certification in Advanced Endoscopy techniques and attends National and International conferences to maintain his professional development. He enjoys teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
He is the Director of Leaders in Gastrointestinal Care London (LGCL). A unique Consortium of Gastrointestinal Specialists based in North and Central London delivering multidisciplinary clinical services across a number of North and Central London private hospitals, with access to the latest state of the art endoscopy, radiology, and surgical facilities. He is committed to evidence-based individualized approach, encompassing the holistic needs of patients offering the best clinical care.
