About the Webinar

MAKO Robotic Joint Replacement: UK & India – Expert Perspectives

Practical lessons from the UK and India for MSK referrers and orthopaedic surgeons adopting robotic-assisted arthroplasty.

Join an expert panel discussion featuring Dr K. P. Kosygan (Apollo Hospitals, Chennai) and Professor Ed Davies (Birmingham, UK) as they share their real-world experience of MAKO robotic-assisted hip and knee replacement.

This interactive webinar will explore patient selection, surgical planning, operative workflow, rehabilitation and clinical outcomes, while comparing UK and Indian experiences with robotic arthroplasty. The discussion will also examine the practical considerations of introducing MAKO into clinical practice and how robotics is shaping the future of joint replacement.

Key topics include:

  • Patient selection for robotic joint replacement
  • MAKO technology and surgical workflow
  • Clinical outcomes and current evidence
  • Rehabilitation and recovery
  • Building a successful robotic arthroplasty programme
  • Lessons from the UK and India
  • Live panel discussion and audience Q&A

Who Should Attend & What Will You Gain?

This webinar is designed for:

  • NHS and private MSK physiotherapists
  • First Contact Practitioners (FCPs)
  • Advanced Practice Physiotherapists (APPs)
  • Orthopaedic surgeons
  • Arthroplasty fellows and trainees
  • Surgeons considering introducing MAKO into their practice

MSK Referrers

Gain greater confidence in recognising appropriate patients for surgical referral, understanding the role of robotic-assisted joint replacement, counselling patients effectively, and supporting rehabilitation before and after surgery.

Orthopaedic Surgeons

Whether you are considering introducing MAKO into your practice or have recently adopted the platform, this webinar provides practical insights into patient selection, workflow integration, surgical tips, implementation challenges and lessons learned from experienced robotic surgeons in both the UK and India.

Attendees will leave with practical knowledge that can be applied immediately to improve patient care and support the successful adoption of robotic-assisted arthroplasty.
