The aim is to impart a latest update on:

  1. Herpes Zoster Ophthalmicus (HZO)
    1. To understand the range of clinical signs of HZO and how to elicit them
    2. Learn the pathological basis of the clinical signs and consequences of the disease
    3. Understand the principle of treatment of the disease
  2. Peripheral Ulcerative Keratitis (PUK)
    1. To learn the range of clinical manifestations of PUK
    2. To be aware that PÚK can be indicative of a life threatening condition
    3. What to look out for, to ascertain progression or regression of disease
    4. Principles of treatment
  3. Neuropathic Keratitis (NK)
    1. Learn how to test corneal sensations in a clinical setting and what the pitfalls are
    2. Differentiate between mild, moderate and severe (stage1, stage 2 & stage 3) NK
    3. Understand why NK is a serious condition that can lead to corneal blindness
    4. How to limit progression and promote healing and resolution
